about us

eSingleParent.org (education. information. resources.) began from a personal experience. Founder and Executive Director, Pam Denicke, experienced attending college as a first generation, single parent student after nearly 17 years of primarily being a stay-at-home wife and mother.

Equipped with a high school diploma and few marketable skills an incredible prompting led her to focus on school full-time while working part-time. The prompting also triggered her to believe that pursuing and completing higher education would liberate her and her children from living slightly above poverty by increasing her earning power thus creating a better life for the family. Pam hoped that by completing a college degree her children would learn the value of completing higher education (hopefully, before they married), and understand that determination and sacrificing coupled with hard work would deliver them from any undesirable situation they may later find themselves.

Learning about and tapping into campus and community resources Pam was successful in completing her education. Later, she went on to complete two Master’s degrees (Business Administration and Social Work). These experiences created a passionate desire in Pam to begin working with single parents interested in starting or returning to school. She has dedicated her career to motivating and inspiring individuals to pursue and complete post-secondary education or training. She has experience working in non-profits and higher education assisting many single parents throughout the state, and with”at-risk” adolescents before establishing eSingleParent.org.

Pam is currently a member of the Utah Women and Education Initiative Advisory Committee and a member of the Women’s Success Center Advisory Board at Utah Valley University.   She enjoys and is available for public speaking engagements.
